Much of our design work is for internal systems used for six hours a day: warehouse tools, clinical screens, finance workflows. It is less glamorous than consumer product design and considerably higher leverage, because a saved click is a saved click a hundred times a day.
You will spend real time with users in their workplace, and you will be asked what the design changed — measured.
What you’ll be doing
- Run user interviews and workplace observation sessions
- Design task flows and interfaces, and test them with users before build
- Build and maintain token-based component systems in Figma
- Specify states and edge cases, not only the happy path
- Work alongside engineers through implementation to keep intent intact
What we’re looking for
- Three or more years designing software products, ideally including internal tools
- A portfolio showing process and outcomes, not only final screens
- Fluency with Figma component systems, variants and design tokens
- Practical understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA requirements
- Comfortable presenting and defending design decisions to clients
