Deployments that stop being an event

If releasing takes a checklist, a maintenance window and a nervous engineer, the process is the problem. We make deployment boring.

  • Release several times a week instead of once a month
  • Rollback in minutes, from a rehearsed procedure
  • Environments that match, so 'works on staging' means something
Sound familiar?

The problem we hear most, and how we solve it

If this sounds like your business, you're in good company. Here's what changes when we work together.

The problem

Manual deployments produce a predictable pattern: releases batch up because each one is risky, batching makes them riskier, and eventually a release goes wrong at 6pm on a Thursday with no clean way back. Meanwhile nobody is quite sure what is running in production, and the server configuration exists only in the memory of whoever set it up.

What we do about it

Infrastructure defined as code, environments that are identical by construction, and a pipeline that takes a merged pull request to production without a human running commands. Rollback is a first-class operation, not an improvised recovery.

What we do

How we can help with Cloud & DevOps

  • Infrastructure as code

Every environment defined in version control and reproducible from scratch. No configuration that exists only on a server nobody wants to touch.

  • CI/CD pipelines

Merged code runs through tests, security scanning, build and deployment automatically, with promotion between environments gated where you want it.

  • Containerised workloads

Docker images built once and promoted unchanged through environments, so what you tested is exactly what runs.

  • Monitoring and alerting

Metrics, logs and traces in one place, with alert thresholds set so pages are actionable and the team does not learn to ignore them.

  • Backup and recovery, tested

Automated backups with restores actually rehearsed on a schedule. An untested backup is a hypothesis, not a safeguard.

  • Cost visibility

Tagged resources and per-environment reporting, plus right-sizing recommendations — cloud bills grow quietly without it.

What you get

Everything you need, handed over properly

No vague promises. Here's what you can expect to have when the work is done.

Tools & technologies we use

  • Azure
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • GitHub Actions
  • Git
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Release several times a week instead of once a month
  • Rollback in minutes, from a rehearsed procedure
  • Environments that match, so 'works on staging' means something
  • Problems detected by monitoring before customers report them
  • Infrastructure knowledge in the repository, not in one head
How it works

A clear process, with no surprises

We start by documenting what actually runs today — it is rarely what the diagram says. Then we codify it, add a staging environment that genuinely matches production, and build the pipeline: automated tests, security scanning, build, deploy, smoke tests, promote. Monitoring and alerting come with it, tuned so alerts mean something and get acted on.

  1. 1

    Meet Up

Schedule a meeting with us. Tell us about your business and help us understand your priorities and needs.

  2. 2

    Team Up

After you've approved our proposal, we'll seamlessly implement the solutions so you immediately start benefiting from your partnership with ITS.

  3. 3

    Scale Up

See how managed technology can set you up for success and continue growing your business. If not, we'll happily refund your investment.

The outcome
Deploy several times a week without ceremony, recover from a bad release in minutes, and see the cost of every environment. Infrastructure knowledge lives in the repository rather than in one person's head.
Our promise

What every client can count on

  • Say the difficult thing early

If an approach is wrong, a date is at risk, or the feature you asked for will not solve the problem, you hear it while there is still time to act. Comfortable silence is the most expensive thing in software.

  • Build it to be maintained

The code we write will be read far more often than it was written, frequently by someone else. Clarity beats cleverness in every case where the two conflict.

  • Measure what we claim

Faster, better and more reliable are only meaningful with a baseline and a number after. We agree the measurement before starting the work.

  • Leave you independent

Documentation, handover and code quality are aimed at a client who could take the system entirely in-house. Retention through lock-in is not a business we want.

FAQ

Questions clients usually ask

Azure most often, and AWS regularly. We also work with regional and on-premise hosting where data residency or contractual requirements demand it. The pipeline and infrastructure-as-code approach stays broadly the same across all of them.

Usually. Most gains come from a small number of changes: a real staging environment, an automated pipeline, tested backups and meaningful alerts. We start with an assessment and a prioritised list, and rebuilding is a last resort rather than an opening move.

Probably not. Kubernetes solves problems most businesses do not have, and adds operational complexity that then needs owning. Managed container services handle the large majority of workloads with far less overhead. We will recommend it only when the workload genuinely calls for it.

Dependency scanning, static analysis and secret detection run on every build, with secrets held in a managed vault rather than in environment files. Infrastructure changes go through the same review process as application code.
